FULLY BOOKED. Youth Hunter Sheep Camp is at capacity for this year. Thank you to everyone for booking.
WSFA is very proud to have hosted Youth Hunter Sheep Camps since 2003. The camp is geared for kids from the ages of 11 to 17. Funds raised through our Hunt of a Lifetime raffle goes to this Summer Camp. Wild Sheep Foundation of Alberta would like to acknowledge and thank M.S.L Funding for supporting our youth Initiatives. These youth camps have helped introduce hundreds of young folks to the great outdoors and some of the skills needed to enjoy them.
This year’s youth camp is being called the Tag-Along-Camp as we are asking our youth to be accompanied by an adult volunteer. We believe there is no better place to build strong bonds then in the outdoors, and welcome the adults as companions to the kids and part of our volunteer team to help keep things rolling smoothly. That’s right folks you’ll have to work a little bit too! We have spots for 15 youths plus adult companion. If siblings or friends are involved one adult can serve as their companion, but we welcome both parents… if so inclined.
Camp dates are July 4th to July 7th at Sheep Creek Back Country Lodge, located north of Grande Cache. Activities offered include professional instruction in mountain angling, horseback riding, white water rafting, and videography. If time permits hiking, shed hunting, and solo fishing is available right out of camp. As well there will be deep discussions around the fire on bush skills and ethics.
